Job summary

Meril is seeking an experienced contract/legal professional to draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor, service, licensing, and hospital agreements. The role supports business and procurement teams in commercial negotiations and contract execution.

You will review liability, indemnity, IP, confidentiality, payment terms and dispute resolution, maintain contract records and track renewals, expiries, and obligations.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial agreement drafting, negotiation and review skills.
• Sound legal interpretation and risk-assessment abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (NDAs, vendor/service, supply/purchase, licensing, hospital agreements).

• Review technical and scientific documents from a legal and compliance perspective.

Role & responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor and service agreements, supply and purchase agreements, consultancy agreements, licensing agreements and hospital agreements.
• Review contractual terms relating to liability, indemnity, intellectual property, confidentiality, payment, termination and dispute resolution.
• Review technical and scientific documents from a legal and compliance perspective.
• Support business and procurement teams in commercial negotiations and contract execution.
• Maintain contract records and track renewals, expiries and contractual obligations.
• Assist with legal notices, compliance matters and legal due diligence as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant legal experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, clinical research or life sciences will be preferred.
• Practical, business-oriented approach to legal matters.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
