Job summary

D C Sejpal & Co is seeking an experienced legal professional to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of property-related agreements in a corporate environment. You will coordinate execution, maintain records, and provide preliminary inputs on applicable laws while supporting day-to-day legal matters. The ideal candidate holds an LL.B.

or LL.M. from a recognised university with about 13 years of relevant experience in corporate, real estate or commercial law, and demonstrates strong

Qualifications

• LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognised university.
• 13 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate, law firm, real estate or commercial legal environment.
• Strong drafting, review, legal research, communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work.
• Good attention to detail and ability to independently handle routine legal assignments.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and coordinate execution of Leave & License Agreements, Lease Agreements, Sale Deeds, Agreements for Sale, possession-related documents, NOCs, declarations, undertakings and other property-related documents.
• Draft, review and vet agreements, contracts and other legal documentation, and assist in the negotiation of commercial and business arrangements, as required.
• Conduct legal research and provide preliminary inputs on applicable laws, regulations and legal issues.
• Maintain legal records and track contractual, compliance and regulatory requirements, renewals and timelines, including related correspondence and documentation.
• Support the legal function in general day-to-day legal matters and other assignments as may be required.
