Job summary

K12 Techno Services is seeking a competent Legal Consultant to ensure compliance with real estate, corporate, and regulatory laws in Bengaluru. The role involves drafting and negotiating leases, master service agreements, and vendor contracts, while coordinating with external counsel for due diligence.

The candidate should possess at least 3 years of relevant experience, be registered with the Bar Council of India, and have strong RERA and corporate law expertise.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of relevant experience as Legal Consultant/Advisor/Executive in a reputed company or law firm.
• Registered with the Bar Council of India.
• Deep understanding of RERA and corporate law.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with real estate, land use, RERA, municipal, stamp duty, and other statutes.
• Draft, review and finalize leases, MSAs, vendor and other contracts.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and central laws relating to real estate, land use, RERA, municipal regulations, stamp duty, registration, and other applicable statutes.
• Provide expertise in commercial, corporate, and business laws relevant to the companys operations.
• Draft, review, and finalize legal documents including Lease Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, and other contracts.
• Negotiate contractual terms with landowners, contractors, vendors, partners, intermediaries, and consultants to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Coordinate with external law firms for legal due diligence on land and property acquisitions, including title verification, encumbrance checks, zoning, and regulatory approvals.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks to ensure the company operates within all applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Evaluate ongoing and proposed projects to ensure compliance with corporate law requirements.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
• Curate, maintain, and oversee legal documentation to ensure contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with company policies.
• Review and update company legal policies periodically in line with changing laws and regulations.
• Stay updated with dynamic changes in real estate and corporate laws on a national level.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, either LLB or BA.LLB from a recognised university
• LLM or specialisation in company law, or corporate law is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working as a Legal Consultant/Legal Advisor/Legal Executive in a reputed Company or a law firm.
• Registered with the Bar Council of India
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
