Job summary

Unified Credit Solutions in Gurgaon seeks a seasoned Legal Counsel to lead in-house legal matters across India. You will draft and review notices, replies, pleadings, contracts, and related documents, and manage disputes under IPC, CPC, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, and NI Act.

The ideal candidate has 8–9 years’ experience, a law degree from a premium college, and the ability to analyze complex issues with minimal supervision. Male candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Desirable candidate must have graduation or post-graduation in Law from premium College & University.
• Minimum 8-9 years of experience as in-house with a multi-national company or as senior associate with a reputed law firm.
• Should have sound knowledge of Indian Laws with the ability to analyze complex legal problems quickly and concisely without direct supervision.
• Should be proficient in review, drafting/ vetting and understanding the Court pleadings and other legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for drafting and reviewing of legal notices, replies, complaints, counter-affidavits, power of attorney, written statements, applications, and their reply and other incidental documents.
• Proficient in handling matters before Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Arbitration & Conciliation Act and Negotiable Instruments Act.
• Responsible for handling litigations either himself or through external lawyers on pan India basis in various courts and advice management accordingly.
• Responsible for doing legal research and brief the external lawyers and maintain record of proceedings held before the Court/Tribunals.
• Responsible for drafting, reviewing and finalization of contracts and all types of legal documents for compliance with all the applicable laws, regulations, internal policies & organization objectives
