Job summary

Flowserve India Controls Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Lean Leader for Global Engineering Processes & Procedures. You will develop and implement lean practices to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and productivity among 300+ engineers across 10 global teams working on five product families.

You will establish SIPOC flows and value stream maps, drive continuous improvement, mentor teams, and monitor KPIs, while staying abreast of lean trends and applying best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Industrial), master’s preferred.
  • 5–10 years of lean process improvement experience in engineering/manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing lean practices and productivity gains.
  • Strong knowledge of global engineering processes, SIPOC, and value stream mapping.
  • Excellent communication and leadership to engage diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally for collaboration.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred.

Job description

Role Summary

As the Lean Leader for Global Engineering Processes & Procedures, you will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of lean practices to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and productivity among our 300+ engineers, spread across 10 global engineering teams working on five distinct product families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a unified framework for global engineering processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Establish world-class SIPOC flows and value stream maps for each business and product family, identifying areas for improvement and driving the elimination of non-value-added activities.
  • Collaborate with global engineering leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and lean thinking across the organization.
  • Document and streamline order engineering workflows, analyzing existing processes and identifying opportunities for optimization and synergy creation.
  • Train and mentor employees to enhance cross-collaboration between product families and teams, enabling the sharing of best practices and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to lean initiatives, ensuring progress toward established targets and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in lean methodologies, incorporating them into the organization's strategies where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Industrial Etc), a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in lean process improvement, with a focus on engineering and manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing lean practices, driving continuous improvement, and achieving significant productivity gains.
  • Strong understanding of global engineering processes, value stream mapping, and SIPOC analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed to collaborate with global engineering teams.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
