Job summary

Job description

What you’ll do

Work as a key member of the GSC COE Logistics team. As CI specialist, Individual will play a vital role in leading & supporting CI initiatives across Global Logistics department. This role demands to identify opportunities for improvements, drive projects and foster culture of continuous Improvement. This role will have different scope with different geographical impact (regional, cross-regional and global), and will be related to the main Logistics strategic areas of interest. The position will be reporting to Logistics Manager- in COE and will be working closely with global stakeholders to drive CI Initiatives. Centre of Excellence journey – will work with CI manager to implement key actions for the Centre of Excellence journey for the Logistics team. The position will require working in a cross functional team.

  • Support change initiatives across all areas of the business by identifying, quantifying, and managing projects from operations, manufacturing, supply chain and support functions.
  • Deploy the Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy and lean tools & techniques to meet business KPIs, focusing on process improvements in quality, cost, service, and inventory.
  • Implement best practice lean tools and techniques within the business, including Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS)
  • Assisst Kaizen and 5S events to ensure methodologies align with customer demands.
  • Address and reduce business issues through root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Help in driving CI projects using DMAIC. Execute time studies, get SOP updates and work instructions for new transitions.
  • Engage Logistics function to promote Lean/CI benefits and foster a culture of continuous improvement as a core business ethos.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to CI, adapting to the changing needs of the business to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ELSS tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Standard Work, and 5S; coordinate ELSS self‑assessments and implement action plans to address gaps.
  • Deliver projects and plans that achieve annualized savings as defined by business objectives.
  • Lead, train, and coach others in lean tools and techniques, building expertise throughout the business and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet KPIs.
  • Own and manage the Kaizen calendar, ensuring deployment and support of activities throughout the business.
  • Daily monitoring of CI projects and providing resolution for bottlenecks.
Qualifications
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement role and environment.
Skills
  • Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma.
  • SAP, SharePoint & Power App preferable.
  • Demonstrated experience within SCM environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CI tools and methodologies (e.g., VSM, RIE, BPI, Kaizen).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Strong focus on standardization and automation of processes.
