• Incorporate HSE and cybersecurity requirements into all designs while ensuring network integrity.
• Prepare and review design basis, specifications, network architecture, datasheets, layouts, cable schedules, and BOMs.
• Lead telecom design and integration including LAN/WAN, VoIP, CCTV, PAGA, access control, WIFI, fibre optics and related systems.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors and procurement for technical discussions and vendor qualification.

Job Description

The Telecom Lead Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and integration of telecommunications systems in Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity requirements. The role requires strong knowledge of telecom systems, physical design, and relevant international, national, and local standards. It covers all project phases, including FEED, detailed design, and EPC, while providing technical guidance to the discipline team and collaborating with multidisciplinary groups to achieve efficient and cost-effective project execution. He should able to provide technical guidance to discipline team and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.

Requirements

• Develop project scope of work, master document register, man-hour estimates, staffing plans, forecasts, schedules, and progress reports.
• Incorporate health, safety, environmental, and cybersecurity requirements into all designs while ensuring network architecture integrity.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables: design basis, specifications, network architecture, datasheets, layouts, block diagrams, cable schedules, and BOMs.
• Lead design and integration of telecom systems including LAN/WAN, VoIP, CCTV, PAGA, Electronic Personnel On Board and access control, Perimeter Intrusion detection, WIFI, UHF/VHF radio, TETRA, microwave, VSAT, Satellite links, fiber optics and structured cabling.
• Perform telecom field design activities: Power consumption, fiber optic block diagram, IP address plan for telecom systems and data/voice network,cable routing, layouts, bulk MTO, and 3D model reviews.
• Review/prepare telecom datasheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documents.
• Ensure designs comply with international standards (IEC, ITU, NEC, NFPA, 3GPP, ICAO) and client specific requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and procurement teams for technical discussions, material purchasing, and vendor qualification.
• Participate in design reviews, audits, site surveys, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless telecom integration with other systems.
• Provide input to other discipline packages, bid documents, and construction tenders.
