Scientific Games Technologies India Private Limited is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide comprehensive support for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment and software. The role requires 8 to 12 years of related experience, with responsibilities including mentoring team members and leading projects.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong technical troubleshooting abilities. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Technical Support Engineer: Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first‑line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.
Works on short- and mid‑term projects that frequently require the application of independent judgment and creativity. Mentors less experienced members of the team. May lead teams, projects, a large function or multiple functions. Leads the design and develops major or strategic products.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Years of Related Experience: 8 to 12 years.
