Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a senior engineer to review HSE studies and implement design recommendations for fire water, F&G systems, and HAC. The role involves leading safety reviews, supervising system design, and coordinating across piping, instrumentation, mechanical and civil teams to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

Ideal candidates will have BE/BTech with extensive HSE project experience, exposure to international standards, and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Review HSE studies and implement recommendations in detailed design.
• Participate in safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, BOWTIE, HFE, ALARP, SIL.
• Review protection system design including hydraulic calculations for fire water network and P&IDs.
• Supervise F&G system design, PFP and HAC.
• Coordinate plot plans and manpower planning for the project.

Job Description

Scope Of Work* Primary

• Review for HSE Studies such as FHA, QRA, Bow-tie, SIL, F&G Detectors Mapping, HFE, EIA, Noise Study, RAM, etc. and review and implement recommendations in detailed design.
• Participate in project safety reviews HAZID, HAZOP, BOWTIE, HFE, ALARP, SIL, etc.
• Review of Protection System Design (including hydraulic calculations for fire water network, preparation of P&IDs, Datasheets of FW Tanks, Pumps, Fire suppression system, etc.)
• Supervise preparation of F&G system design, Passive Fire Proofing (PFP) and Hazardous Area Classification (HAC)
• Supervise and provide guidance in the preparation and evaluation of Plot Plans
• Review contract requirements for project execution, identify Scope of Work and develop Manpower Plan
• Responsible for management and control of the job executed in the group•Assignment of Sr. Engineer/ Engineer/ Designer and preparation of organization for the project
• Ensure that all work performed complies fully with all applicable codes, regulations etc., as well as company design standards & client requirements or in other words, design control.
• Review Inquiry Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations and ensure procurement according to project specifications and within budgeted cost.
• Provide supervision and / or technical direction to engineers & designers assigned to area of work to ensure that the work is completed in the proper manner.
• Ensure that all the Health, Safety and Environment related requirements, as given in Project Contract documents, are fulfilled during the engineering.
• Coordinate with other functional departments within task force for implementing HSE related requirements.
• Resolve all HSE related issues / queries raised during project execution.
• Report to the Management on overall performance of HSE in the projects
• Exposure and hands-on experience of various engineering project within middle east Clients like ADNOC, KOC, Saudi Aramco, etc
• Good knowldge of Client specific and interational standards i.e. NFPA, API, BS, etc.
