Job summary

Aditya Birla Group is seeking a seasoned Estimation & Tender Engineer to prepare estimates, techno-commercial proposals, and budgetary quotations for fenestration projects including aluminium windows, doors, and related architectural envelope solutions.

You will coordinate with Sales, Design, Procurement and Projects teams to ensure accurate costings, effective value engineering, and timely tender submissions, while maintaining standardization and knowledge management across projects.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Sound knowledge of AutoCAD software.
• Experience in tender submissions and cost estimation processes.

Responsibilities

• Complete cost estimates and quotations within agreed timelines.
• Support tender and estimation management to achieve target margins.
• Prepare accurate BOQs and material take-offs and maintain cost databases.
• Collaborate with design, sales and procurement teams for value engineering.
• Contribute to process improvement, templates, and cost libraries.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Procurement and Projects teams for tender reviews.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Job Context : Should have Min. 5 years of relevant work experience Should have sound knowledge of AutoCAD software. Job Challenges : Fenestration large number of enquiries, Accurate estimates, Competitive, Aggressive Submissions, Coordinate, Follow standards specified respect to projects, with teams, pricing from Sales & fabricators. Creation of detailed Structural Reports for big orders. Customize solutions as per project requirement

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Tender & Estimation Management

• Complete cost estimates and quotations within agreed timelines.
• Ensure all enquiries are evaluated and submitted accurately.
• Maintain estimation accuracy within approved variance limits.

Commercial Excellence

• Achieve target project gross margins during bidding.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and commercial assumptions in proposals.
• Support negotiation and bid clarification activities.

Quantity Take-Off & Cost Analysis

• Prepare accurate BOQs and material take-offs.
• Optimize material utilization and system selection.
• Maintain updated cost databases for key materials.

Technical Evaluation & Value Engineering

• Recommend technically compliant and commercially viable solutions.
• Support value engineering initiatives during pre-award stages.
• Collaborate with Design Team for system optimization

Process Improvement & Knowledge Management

• Maintain estimation templates, productivity norms, and cost libraries.
• Capture lessons learned from completed projects.
• Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate effectively with Sales, Design, Procurement, and Projects teams.
• Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and tender reviews.
• Support project handover after award
