Responsibilities

• Oversee conceptual design and technical support for DCS projects, ensuring alignment with objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Estimate footprint requirements for DCS infrastructure to optimize space and resources.
• Review EPC/PMC technical documents for compliance with mechanical standards and QA.
• Conduct feasibility and cost analyses for Greenfield and Brownfield projects to support budgeting and schedules.
• Assist in CAPEX/OPEX estimation and lifecycle cost analysis to drive project sustainability.
• Prepare project specifications and RFPs, supporting timely and compliant execution.
• Secure mechanical approvals and permits to minimize delays and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Support system commissioning, ensuring adherence to budget, quality, and timelines.
• Explore energy‑efficient technologies and innovations to improve system performance.
• Document SOPs and maintain project documentation per organizational standards.

Purpose/Objective

• The Engineering (Mechanical) Manager-ACSL supports the successful execution of district cooling system (DCS) projects by managing all mechanical aspects from initiation to completion.
• This role oversees the entire construction lifecycle, ensuring technical compliance, quality assurance, and timely delivery of mechanical systems.
• The position focuses on optimizing execution efficiency, mitigating technical risks, and maintaining alignment with design specifications and safety standards, contributing to the reliable, efficient, and sustainable operation of ACSL’s DCS portfolio.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Engineering (Mechanical) Manager-ACSL Conceptual Design and Technical Support: Ensure design accuracy by analysing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining mechanical requirements to align with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Optimize infrastructure by estimating footprint requirements for DCS, ensuring efficient space and resource utilization.
• Support quality assurance by reviewing technical documents from EPC contractors and PMCs, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with mechanical standards.
• Feasibility and Cost Analysis: Support project feasibility by conducting technical and commercial assessments for Greenfield and Brownfield projects, ensuring alignment with goals and realistic execution timelines.
• Contribute to cost planning by preparing CAPEX and OPEX estimates, supporting budgeting, and minimizing financial risks.
• Assist in lifecycle cost analysis to drive long‑term cost savings and project sustainability.
• Project Execution and Management: Prepare project specifications and RFPs to ensure clear scope, objectives, and deadlines, supporting project execution.
• Minimize delays by assisting in obtaining necessary mechanical approvals and permits, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Qualification: Engineering Graduate – Mechanical Work Experience (Range of years): Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience Work experience with leading organizations Good hands‑on experience on the execution of green field and brownfield projects and exposure on T&C and O&M aspects of the project, preferably in MEP/HVAC/Utilities/Real Estate sector.
