Job summary

KK Group in Bengaluru is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive end-to-end NCR processes, analyze non-conformances, and coordinate with suppliers to close cases with minimal production impact.

You will lead cross-functional teams, apply problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa), and ensure PFMEA and checklists are up to date. This global role requires proactive, teamwork-driven execution.

Qualifications

  • Engineering qualification in Manufacturing Quality, Electrical or Mechanical.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality (SQA/SQD or Quality Engineer).
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, PDCA, A3 problem solving tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage NCRs with minimal impact on KK production and close cases.
  • Analyze results, verify non-conformances, and supervise quality docs (PFMEA, CP, checklists).
  • End-to-End NCR process: creation, assignment, evaluation, disposition, alignment with stakeholders.
  • Govern COPQ and drive cost reduction.
  • Drive supplier performance by coordinating with buyers and finance for cost recovery.
  • Provide 8D analysis reports from suppliers as required.
  • Support continuous efficiency improvements with production teams.
  • Provide technical support for ongoing production activities.
  • Coordinate cross-department meetings to find process solutions and lead quality initiatives.
  • Execute non-conformances within defined timelines.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Manage all NCR which supplier is responsible for the defect include all necessary activities to successfully close the case, with minimum impact on KK production.
  • Analysis of research results and reporting, verification of non-compliance of production materials, supervision over quality documentation (PFMEA, CP, checklists).
  • Creation, Assigning, evaluating, solving, disposition, aligning with stakes for End-to-End NCR Process.
  • Governance of COPQ & reduction of it.
  • Drive Suppliers by connecting with buyers & finance teams for cost recovery items.
  • Analyze & Provide 8D Analysis report from supplier, as per requirement.
  • Continuous efficiency improvement and trouble shooting in close cooperation with production team.
  • Responsible for providing technical support for on-going production activities.
  • Coordinate meetings with other representatives from different departments to seek a better solution to the process problems including lead and drive quality initiatives to improve quality and reduce the COPQ.
  • Execution of NC with the defined timelines.
Our requirements
  • Capability to read technical documentation ( drawings, specifications).
  • Engineering background in mechanical (welding, steel construction, machining, casting) or electrical components production.
  • Knowledge about basic operating "problem solving tools"(8D, 5why, Ishikawa Diagram, PDCA,A3, etc.).
  • Capable to lead communication with supplier management and KK stakeholders, to ensure resolve problem according to needs.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office tools, as well as ERP (D365).

  • The candidate should show passion for working with the quality team and interaction with other functions of an organisation in professional manner.
Educational Qualification Required:
  • Engineering Qualification and respective education in Manufacturing Quality/Electrical/Mechanical.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Quality as SQA, SQD or Quality Engineer.
