Job summary

Surbana Jurong Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer for building projects across residential, commercial and institutional sectors. The role focuses on structural analysis, design and coordination, with emphasis on IS codes and seismic design, plus exposure to Eurocodes and ACI/ASCE/AISC standards.

Experience in global design centers in India and handling international projects will be highly valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in structural engineering for buildings.
• Proficient with IS codes and seismic design.
• Experience with Eurocodes and ACI/ASCE/AISC is a plus.
• Experience in global design centres in India is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform RCC and steel structural analysis and design for buildings.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes and project specs.
• Carry out seismic analysis per IS 1893 and IS 13920.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, reports; review designs.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, geotechnical and stakeholders.
• Lead design reviews and client meetings; mentor junior engineers.
• Support proposals and bid documentation.

Job description

Looking for a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in the building sector. The candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, and coordination for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. The role requires strong proficiency in Indian standards (IS Codes) including seismic design, along with working knowledge of international codes such as Eurocodes and American (ACI/ASCE/AISC) standards.

Experience in global design centres in India handling international projects will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures for building projects.
• Develop design solutions compliant with Indian codes (IS codes) and project specifications.
• Carry out seismic analysis & design as per IS 1893, IS 13920, and relevant standards.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Review and check structural designs prepared by junior engineers and external consultants.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical teams, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Work on international projects using Eurocodes or American standards (ACI, ASCE, AISC).
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and client meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to best engineering practices.
• Support proposal, bid preparation, and technical documentation where required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in global design centers (GDCs) in India
• Exposure to international projects (Middle East, Europe, USA, etc.)
• Client interaction and design management experience
