Gallagher in India is seeking a Lead Specialist - Accounts Controller to join our Mumbai team. You will own a global client and reinsurer portfolio, manage payments, settlements, and collections, and drive operational excellence across finance.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and reconciliation skills, excellent stakeholder management, and advanced Excel, with the ability to mentor teammates and lead process-improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and service a portfolio of client and reinsurer accounts across geographies.
• Act as the primary contact for payment, collection, and settlement-related matters.
• Ensure timely collection and disbursement of funds while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor debtor positions, reconcile accounts, and resolve outstanding issues.
• Partner with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to strengthen financial relationships.
• Review ledgers, identify risks, and support process improvements to minimize exposure.
• Drive adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
• Analyze management information (MI) and provide insights to improve collection performance.
• Mentor team members and deliver functional guidance.
• Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Specialist - Accounts Controller to join our growing Mumbai team. What You'll Do

As a Lead Specialist, you will:

• Manage and service a portfolio of client and reinsurer accounts across multiple geographies.
• Act as the primary contact for payment, collection, and settlement-related matters.
• Ensure timely collection and disbursement of funds while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor debtor positions, reconcile accounts, and proactively resolve outstanding issues.
• Partner with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to strengthen financial relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, Broking, Financial Services, or Shared Services environments.
• Exposure to Accounts Receivable, Collections, Cash Application, Credit Control, or Financial Operations.
• Experience managing complex client portfolios and global stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement and team mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in accounting, settlement, insurance servicing, or financial operations
