Job summary

Blue Yonder in Hyderabad, India seeks a Lead Software Engineer to steer architecture, modernization, and technical direction of complex C++ products and cloud-native services. You will influence multiple components while remaining hands-on with modern C++17/20.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or related field.
• 8–10 years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on C++ experience.
• Expert-level understanding of modern C++.
• Strong experience with C++17/C++20.
• Excellent knowledge of advanced C++/STL, memory management, multithreading/concurrency, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience designing HLD/LLD.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural modernization of large C++ codebases.

• Identify and drive resolution of architectural and technical debt.

• Lead performance investigations across CPU, memory, network, I/O, concurrency, serialization, and DB access.
• Establish performance benchmarks and measurable improvements.

• Define approaches for horizontal scaling, high availability, fault tolerance, self-healing, stateful connections, distributed caching, and event-driven processing.
• Work with Kubernetes, Docker, Azure/AWS, Kafka, and Redis.
• Design cloud-native APIs and service communication (REST/WebSocket/gRPC).
• Drive production readiness and operational excellence.
• Lead investigations of critical production issues.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for architecture, modernization, and technical direction of complex C++ products and cloud-native services.
