Job summary

PI Industries Ltd seeks a Lead - Site IT to ensure smooth, secure IT operations at the site, covering network, software, and hardware while aligning with group IT policies. The role reports to the Site Head and IT Business Partner.

Responsibilities include implementing IT policies, managing site infrastructure, coordinating with vendors, overseeing data backup and document management, and ensuring SLA achievement with cross-functional teams at PI & PIHS locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate in engineering/technology/computer science and 6–8 years in IT leadership.
• Experience in pharma/CRDO/CRO/KSM domains preferred.
• Ability to align site IT with group IT policies and budget.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Site IT Lead will ensure smooth, efficient, and secure operations of all IT-related activities at the site, including network, software, and hardware aspects. This role manages and oversees all site-specific information technology functions in line with the organization's IT policies.

Reporting To (Title): Site Head & IT Business Partner

Strategic Responsibilities

• Ensure that the business requirements of the site user departments are communicated to the BU IT Business Partner for consideration in the IT budget and plan.
• Proactively identify cost reduction opportunities in IT Infrastructure operations through appropriate and timely information support and analysis

Operational Responsibilities

• Implement PI Group & PIHS level IT policies and procedures at site level, ensuring consistency and alignment with the group & company’s IT strategy.
• Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure at the site, including network systems, hardware, software, and other associated technologies.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors who undertake troubleshooting and other IT maintenance activities.
• Take overall responsibility for all processes around rights management, email systems, data recovery/ back-up and document management within the site.
• Oversee implementation and execution of plans for installation, smooth operation and maintenance of data centre and network systems to cater effectively to the site IT Operations
• Ensure testing of the data centre, servers and network after installation as per functional guidelines; analyse test reports and suggest corrective action, if required.
• Be the key point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues at the site. Manage coordination with user departments at the site for resolving tickets/ queries.
• Manage, and monitor the IT Service Level Agreements (SLA) for ensuring that IT services are delivered at the agreed levels of availability and quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues, and work proactively with the IT Business Partner and Process Excellence team to minimize such instances and provide timely updates until resolution.

People Responsibilities

• Foster a client-oriented approach among the IT team and third-party vendors, focusing on timely and efficient resolution of user queries/issues, thereby enhancing user satisfaction.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, where required.

Education Qualification: Graduate in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science

Work Experience: 6-8 years of experience in a similar role
