Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. is seeking an IT/OT operations leader for a pharma manufacturing facility.

You will drive end-to-end IT operations, oversee OT networks, MES implementation, and intelligent automation to ensure compliant, reliable, and secure production. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
• GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11 and EU Annex 11 compliance experience.
• Experience in IT/OT networks, MES, automation and digital manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT operations for the manufacturing site, including Cyber Security and digital initiatives.
• Manage IT infrastructure, networks, servers, storage, and business continuity.
• Oversee OT systems, industrial networks, and system security controls across manufacturing operations.
• Drive MES, IT/OT Integration, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Ensure high availability and integration of PLC, SCADA, DCS, Historian with enterprise apps.
• Manage Quality Informatics and Laboratory Systems (e.g., Empower, Chromeleon, LIMS).
• Provide governance for SAP, EDMS, LMS, TrackWise, and other critical systems.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, Data Integrity, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11 & Annex 11; support audits.
• Lead system validation, qualification, SOP management, change control, CAPA and QMS activities.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor relationships, contracts and service delivery.

Job Summary:

The Job Holder will be responsible for leading and managing IT, OT, MES, L2 Integration, Automation, and Digital Manufacturing systems to ensure reliable, compliant, and secure operations across a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, operational efficiency, digital maturity, and business value.

Areas Of Responsibility:

• Lead end-to-end IT operations, infrastructure, Cyber Security and digital initiatives for the manufacturing site.
• Manage IT infrastructure, networks, servers, storage, end-user computing, software assets, backup and business continuity.
• Oversee Operational Technology (OT) systems, industrial networks, and system security controls across manufacturing operations.
• Drive the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of MES, L2 integration (IT/OT Integration), Manufacturing Informatics and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Ensure high availability and integration of PLC, SCADA, DCS, Historian, and automation systems with enterprise applications.
• Manage Quality Informatics and Laboratory Systems, including CDS and non-CDS applications such as Empower, Chromeleon, LabX, LIMS, and related platforms.
• Provide governance and support for enterprise applications including SAP, EDMS, LMS, TrackWise, and other business-critical systems.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, Data Integrity, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11 & Annex 11 and regulatory requirements; support internal and external audits.
• Lead system validation, qualification, SOP management, change control, deviation, CAPA, and other QMS activities.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor relationships, contracts and service delivery performance.
• Lead global IT/OT transformation projects at site level, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT team through workforce planning, capability development, coaching, and performance management to support business and digital transformation objectives
• Facilitate effective communication, clarify accountabilities, coordinate with business owners and site management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
