GAVS Technologies N.A., Inc. is seeking a Lead - Server Engineer in Chennai to provide advanced Windows infrastructure support. You will manage Windows Server environments, AD, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms, ensuring security, compliance, and high availability.

You will lead complex escalations, perform RCA, and drive automation using PowerShell while coordinating with ITIL-based incident and change management processes. This role requires 12–15 years of enterprise experience.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in Wintel infrastructure support.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and AD, DNS, DHCP.
• Hands-on with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper‑V environments.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex enterprise infrastructure issues.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience in 24x7 production support and incident management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and security/compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Windows Server administration, patching, upgrades and health checks.
• Manage AD, GPOs, OU structures, trusts, replication; handle domain functional level upgrades.
• Administer DNS and DHCP, ensure high availability and name resolution.
• Support virtualization across VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V environments; manage VMs, templates, clusters.
• Oversee backup strategies and DR testing; participate in DR drills.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell; streamline routines.
• Document infrastructure changes and ensure ITIL-compliant incident/change management.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Active Directory, core Microsoft services, and virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V. This role requires deep technical knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, and experience handling complex escalations.Key Responsibilities1. Windows Server AdministrationInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).Perform system health checks, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.Handle Level 3 incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).Implement security hardening and compliance standards.2.
