Job summary

Lightstorm is seeking a skilled Revenue Assurance Lead to develop and implement strategies that minimize leakage and maximize realized revenue. You will manage O2C and R2R processes, ensure timely invoicing and collections, and optimize DSO to improve cash flow.

The role requires hands-on experience in O2C/R2R, strong telecom know-how, and proficiency with Oracle systems. You will collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Finance to drive process improvements and report on revenue performance.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of progressive revenue assurance experience.
• Strong telecom knowledge of revenue models, billing, and contracts.
• Hands-on O2C and R2R experience.
• Proficiency in Oracle systems and financial reporting apps.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, controls, and reconciliation.
• Experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and efficiency.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and startup-friendly.

Responsibilities

• Manage Order to Cash (O2C) and Record to Report (R2R) processes.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
• Monitor and optimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to improve cash flow.
• Establish and manage revenue recognition processes in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Ensure proper documentation and service delivery evidence to support accurate billing and collections.
• Maintain commercial contracts and supporting documents in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Support timely completion of statutory and other financial audits.
• Prepare and review reports on revenue ageing, collections, forecasts, and revenue performance.
• Analyse revenue data to identify discrepancies, trends, revenue leakage, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct periodic audits of contracts, billing systems, and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to streamline revenue processes.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on revenue analysis.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen financial controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Guide team members and stakeholders on revenue assurance practices and ensure effective team management.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA or MBA in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1215 years of progressive experience in Revenue Assurance, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of telecom business operations, revenue models, billing processes, and commercial contracts.
• Hands‑on experience managing Order to Cash (O2C) and Record to Report (R2R) processes.
• Proficiency in Oracle systems and financial reporting applications.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, applicable accounting standards, financial controls, and reconciliation processes.
• Proven experience in invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, DSO management, revenue ageing, and forecasting.
• Experience in revenue data analysis, identifying discrepancies, and preventing revenue leakage.
• Exposure to statutory audits, contract audits, billing audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment; prior startup experience is desirable.
