Job summary

Sonata Software in Bengaluru seeks a Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years of revenue assurance experience to review contracts, ensure compliance with Ind AS 115, and manage revenue recognition processes. The role covers billing accuracy, internal controls for O2C, and variance analysis with cross-team collaboration.

Proficiency in ERP Dynamics (D365), Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint is required. IT/ITS sector experience is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years of experience in revenue assurance.
• IT/ITS sector experience an added advantage.
• ERP knowledge of D365 financial model is a must.

Responsibilities

• Review of revenue contracts and Adherence to Ind AS 115.
• Create contract review checklist for new contracts per Ind AS 115.
• Review process of revenue recognition and data analysis (periodic listing/unbilled/accruals).
• Review and optimize billing processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls for O2C process risk mitigation.
• Reconcile revenue data with billing systems, sales reports, and accounting records.
• Investigate monthly and quarterly variances in revenue figures with relevant teams.
• Generate reports on revenue assurance metrics (leakage, billing accuracy, collection).
• Drive automation to improve workflows and reduce manual work.
• Provide training to team members on revenue assurance processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review of revenue contracts and Adherence to Ind AS 115 (accounting standards)
• Make contract review checklist for new contracts as per Ind AS 115
• Review process of revenue recognition and regular checks on revenue data analysis(periodic listing/unbilled/accruals)
• Review and optimize billing processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and minimize risk for O2C process
• Reconcile revenue data with other relevant sources, such as billing systems, sales reports, and accounting records.
• Investigate monthly and quarterly variances in revenue figures and work with relevant teams to explain discrepancies
• Generate regular reports on revenue assurance metrics, such as revenue leakage, billing accuracy, and collection rates.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve workflow efficiencies and reduce manual intervention.
• Provide training and support to other team members on revenue assurance processes and procedures.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• Chartered Accountant having 3-4 years of experience in revenue assurance function
• IT and ITS sector specific experience will be an added advantage
• ERP knowledge of D365 financial model is a must
