Job summary

Q2 is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of innovators delivering online banking web and mobile software. You will lead QA activities, implement AI initiatives, and ensure high-quality technology solutions for financial institutions and their customers.

You will collaborate with developers, BAs, and project managers, manage test plans, automate tests, and drive quality across sprints and releases while ensuring timely delivery and strong communication within

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong experience with Test Plans and Testing Methodology.
• Experience testing web-based software solutions (front-end and back-end).
• Banking domain experience is a plus.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium with Python/JavaScript.
• Strong test case management, debugging, and reporting skills.
• Experience in CI and Agile environments; proficient in version control (GitLab/Bitbucket).
• SAAS experience is highly desired.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to define goals and deliverables.
• Create, manage, and maintain test cases.
• Execute automated tests, report results, and document defects with diagnostics.
• Set up and maintain test environments and automation.
• Explain test outcomes to developers and guide exit criteria.
• Contribute to test effort estimates in Sprint/Release planning.
• Drive product quality across the product line.
• Maintain test results documentation and detailed reports.

SUMMARY

Q2 is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to work for our team of innovators. Looking for a Quality Engineer who can lead business outsome along with AI initiatives. Our team delivers online banking web and mobile software with high-quality technology solutions that enable financial institutions and their customers to securely communicate and transact anytime and anywhere via online banking, mobile banking, and voice banking. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with developers, business analysts, Implementation engineers, Project managers, and other stakeholders to understand the goals and deliverables of each project and how it relates to our industry and our product s standard functionality.


• Create, manage, execute, and maintain test cases


• Execute automated test cases, provide results, and create resulting defects with diagnostic information for proper triage


• Set up and maintain test environments and test automation.


• Work with developers to explain test outcomes and guide them in understanding exit criteria.


• Ability to focus on detail while also exercising pragmatism to keep up with project deadlines


• Participate in and contribute test effort estimates in Sprint/Release planning sessions


• Be passionate about driving product quality throughout the product line


• Defect Tracking, classification, priority, and severity justification should be strong


• Experience in functionality testing


• Maintain documentation of test results and prepare detailed reports on findings


• Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Typically requires a bachelors degree in (relevant degree) and 8+ years relevant work experience


• Strong experience with Test Plans, and Testing Methodology


• Strong experience in testing web-based software solutions (both front-end and back-end services)


• Working on Banking domain in the past would be an added advantage


• Experience with Automation tools such as Selenium with Python/JavaScript is considered a plus


• Strong test case management skills (Create, Execute, Report, Revise, Repeat)


• Strong experience debugging complex web application issues through code review and detailed logs


• Excellent communication and teaming skills especially with highly technical team members


• Strong test plan organization and test execution planning skills in a CI and Agile environment


• Experience working in small, highly efficient teams with a high degree of collaboration process


• Passionate about the work, has a proactive work ethic, and highly motivated attitude to provide excellence in software quality


• Experience with version control systems such as Gitlab/ Bitbucket


• Experience with debugging and tracking quality assurance metrics.


• Experience with SAAS is highly desired


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
