Job summary

Q2 India in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing efforts for our online banking and lending platforms. You will design test strategies, manage test cases, and drive automation across front-end and back-end services.

You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and project managers in an Agile, CI-enabled environment, focusing on accuracy, scalability, and quality across banking domain projects.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years relevant work experience.
• Strong experience with Test Plans and Testing Methodology.
• Experience testing web-based software solutions (front-end and back-end).
• Banking domain experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with automation tools like Selenium (Python/JavaScript) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, execute, and maintain test cases.
• Execute automated test cases and document defects with diagnostic information.
• Set up and maintain test environments and test automation.
• Explain test outcomes to developers and guide risk-based decisions.

SUMMARY Q2 is seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to work for our team of innovators. Looking for a Quality Engineer who can lead business outsome along with AI initiatives. Our team delivers online banking web and mobile software with high-quality technology solutions that enable financial institutions and their customers to securely communicate and transact anytime and anywhere via online banking, mobile banking, and voice banking. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with developers, business analysts, Implementation engineers, Project managers, and other stakeholders to understand the goals and deliverables of each project and how it relates to our industry and our product’s standard functionality.
• Create, manage, execute, and maintain test cases
• Execute automated test cases, provide results, and create resulting defects with diagnostic information for proper triage
• Set up and maintain test environments and test automation.
• Work with developers to explain test outcomes and guide them in understanding exit criteria.
• Ability to focus on detail while also exercising pragmatism to keep up with project deadlines
• Participate in and contribute test effort estimates in Sprint/Release planning sessions
• Be passionate about driving product quality throughout the product line
• Defect Tracking, classification, priority, and severity justification should be strong
• Experience in functionality testing
• Maintain documentation of test results and prepare detailed reports on findings
• Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards.
• This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in (relevant degree) and 8+ years relevant work experience
• Strong experience with Test Plans, and Testing Methodology
• Strong experience in testingweb-basedsoftware solutions (both front-end andback-endservices)
• Working on Banking domain in the past would be an added advantage
• Experience with Automation tools such as Selenium with Python/JavaScriptis considered a plus
• Strong test case management skills (Create, Execute, Report, Revise, Repeat)
• Strong experience debugging complex web application issues through code review and detailed logs
• Excellent communication and teaming skills especially with highly technical team members
• Strong test plan organization and test execution planning skills in a CI and Agile environment
• Experience working in small, highly efficient teams with a high degree of collaboration process
• Passionate about the work, has a proactive work ethic, and highly motivated attitude to provide excellence in software quality
• Experience with version control systems such as Gitlab/ Bitbucket
• Experience with debugging and tracking quality assurance metrics.
• Experience with SAAS is highly desired
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours when necessary for deadlines
