Job summary

GREYTIP SOFTWARE PRIVATE LIMITED seeks a Lead Product Designer / UX Pod Lead to own the design strategy and execution for core modules of a Cloud HR Tech SaaS platform. You will anchor a design pod of 2–4 designers, while remaining hands-on with high-impact feature design, design systems, and complex workflows.

You will mentor junior designers, partner with PMs and Eng Managers, and report to the Senior Director of UX in a player-coach role.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of total experience in UX/UI design for enterprise SaaS, B2B cloud applications, or consumer-scale mobile apps.
• Proven experience leading design reviews, mentoring junior designers, or people management.
• Mastery of Figma (Auto-Layout, Variables, Component Architecture, Dev Mode, Design System Governance).
• Strong grounding in Design Thinking, Information Architecture, and Product Strategy.
• Practical experience incorporating AI tools into design research, copy, and UI generation workflows.
• Strong cross-functional alignment skills and ability to advocate for UX with PMs and Dev Leads.
• Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills.

We are hiring a Lead Product Designer / UX Pod Lead to drive end-to-end design strategy and execution for core modules of our Cloud HR Tech platform.

In this "Player-Coach" role, you will be the design anchor for a dedicated product pod. You will manage a small, agile team of 2 to 4 UX/UI designers while remaining fully hands‑on with high-impact feature design, design systems, and complex product workflows. You will partner directly with Pod Leads, Engineering Managers, and Product Managers to build world‑class, enterprise‑grade SaaS experiences across web and mobile.

If you are an experienced Senior/Lead Designer ready to own product strategy, mentor junior talent, and stay deeply connected to pixel‑perfect craft, this role is built for you. This position reports to the Senior Director of UX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Core Workflow Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of complex, high-priority HR tech modules (e.g., payroll engines, performance management, workforce analytics, mobile attendance).
• High‑Fidelity Artifacts: Produce complete UX artifacts- from user journeys and wireframes to production‑ready Figma mockups, interactive prototypes, and micro‑interactions.
• Design Systems: Drive the evolution of our centralized Figma Design System (tokens, auto‑layout, interactive components) and ensure component standardization across all pods.
• AI‑First Workflows: Embed modern AI design tools (Figma AI, ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney) into the team’s day‑to‑day workflow to maximize design velocity and research automation.
• People Management: Manage, guide, and mentor a small team of 2-4 UX/UI designers. Conduct regular 1:1s, design critiques, and performance reviews.
• Quality & Governance: Set high standards for visual design, interaction quality, and design system usage across the team's output.
• Sprint & Capacity Planning: Allocate design resources within the pod, balance workload across sprint cycles, and ensure on‑time delivery of dev‑ready assets.
• Process Optimization: Establish efficient dev‑handoff workflows, usability testing cadence, and cross‑functional alignment habits with engineering and product.

LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience (or demonstrated strong readiness) in leading design reviews, mentoring junior designers, or stepping into formal people management.
• Mastery of Figma (Auto‑Layout, Variables, Component Architecture, Dev Mode, Design System Governance).
• Strong grounding in Design Thinking, Information Architecture, and Product Strategy.
• Practical experience incorporating AI tools into design research, copy, and UI generation workflows.
