Qualifications

• Strong expertise in process utilities, piping engineering, and 3D modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3D plant modelling, equipment layout, and piping for greenfield/brownfield projects.
• Perform utility system design calculations, hydraulic assessments, and capacity evaluations.
• Develop plot plans, equipment layouts, piping routing, and utility networks.
• Provide guidance on piping stress, flexibility studies, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
• Review and approve PFDs, P&IDs, utility diagrams, and 3D models.
• Manage schedules, technical reviews, and client interactions throughout projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Mentor and lead engineers, designers, and 3D modelers.

AGM/DGM Lead, Process Utilities, Piping & 3D Engineering

Location: Kolkata
Experience: 12-20 Years

Education: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering

Role Purpose

Lead the Process Utilities, Piping, and 3D Engineering function for Metals & Minerals projects, ensuring efficient plant layouts, utility system design, interdisciplinary coordination, and timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead 3D plant modelling, equipment layout, and process/utility piping engineering activities for greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Perform utility system design calculations, consumption assessments, hydraulic calculations, and capacity evaluations for plant utilities.
• Develop and review plot plans, equipment layouts, piping routing, utility distribution networks, and material specifications.
• Provide technical guidance on piping stress analysis, flexibility studies, support design, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate closely with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, utility balance diagrams, piping layouts, and 3D models.
• Manage engineering schedules, technical reviews, client interactions, and approval processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Mentor and lead teams of engineers, designers, and 3D modelers to achieve project objectives and quality standards.

Desired Skills

• Strong expertise in Process Utilities, Piping Engineering, Plant Layout, and 3D Modelling within Metals & Minerals, Mining, Beneficiation, or Steel Plant projects.
• Hands-on experience with SP3D, AVEVA E3D/PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Cadworx, or similar design platforms.
• Good understanding of ASME, ANSI, API, IS codes, and industrial utility systems.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary engineering coordination and client-facing roles.
• Strong technical leadership, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
