Job summary

Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Mechanical/Chemical/Thermal engineer with 7–12 years of experience to interpret tenders, prepare technical data sheets, and deliver PFDs/P&IDs and BOMs on time.

The role involves heat and mass transfer calculations, boiler design tasks, and collaboration with customers and consultants. The candidate will perform efficiency analyses, lead discussions, and contribute to design optimization and automation of calculations and drawings for

Qualifications

• B.E / M.Tech in Mechanical/Chemical/Thermal required.
• 7–12 years of experience in process engineering and boiler design.
• Knowledge of IBR/ASME/API codes.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with heat and mass transfer calculations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tender documents and prepare deviations, clarifications, technical data sheets and drawings.
• Ensure timely deliverables like PFDs/P&IDs, equipment sizing, BOMs and enquiry specs.
• Perform efficiency calculations and boiler performance analyses; address site issues.
• Carry out basic mechanical design of pressure parts, thickness calculations and GA drawings.
• Design thermal and hydraulic aspects for boilers and heaters.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and consultants.
• Evaluate site performance and conduct performance guarantee tests.
• Contribute to value engineering and design optimization.
• Assist automation of calculations, drawings and specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for Interpreting tender documents and preparation of deviations and clarifications / technical data sheets and drawings
• Ensure deliverables Like PFDs/P&IDs, auxiliary equipment sizing, BOM preparation and releasing enquiry specifications on time
• Perform efficiency calculations, heat & mass transfer calculations, Analyse boiler performance and site issues
• Basic Mechanical design of pressure parts, thickness calculations and GA drawings
• Thermal & Hydraulic Design for Boilers & Heaters
• Able to lead the technical discussions with customer and consultant
• Site performance evaluation, conduct performance guarantee test
• Contribute towards value engineering & design optimization
• Contribute towards automation of calculations, drawings and specification

Critical Competencies for the Job :

• Knowledge of Basic Power plant cycles and Heat transfer
• Knowledge of Boiler Thermal design softwares
• Basic functional knowledge of AFBC / CFBC / TG Boilers / HRSGs and WHRBs
• Knowledge of various codes like IBR / ASME / API Codes
