Job summary

PMech Consultant Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for a Lead Process Engineer to drive detailed design activities in the Oil & Gas sector. The role requires 10+ years of hands-on experience with process design, P&IDs, and HAZOP coordination, and is on-site.

Based in Mumbai, the position offers full-time employment and requires familiarity with API, NFPA, BS standards and experience in heat and material balance, equipment sizing, and interfacing with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of detailed design and engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.).
• Experience in oil & gas, refineries, fertilizers, and storage/tank farms.
• Knowledge of API, NFPA, BS, and Shell DEP design codes.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Process Basis Design, P&ID, PFD and utility diagram.
• Heat and Material Balance.
• Preparation of Calculations Sheets, Process Data sheets for all equipment.
• Sizing of equipment / piping etc.
• Preparation of Operating Manual
• Review of process related Vendor documentations.
• Participate in HAZOP / Design Review meeting etc.
• Review client drawings and documents.
• Liaise with client to resolve any project technical issues
• Knowledge of international code and practices like API / BS related to process engineering is essential.
