Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer to provide expertise in project design and development. Key responsibilities include assisting with detailed engineering jobs, performing simulations, and preparing essential documentation like PFD and P&ID. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of process flow calculations and project management support. This full-time position is based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Conversant in providing expertise and input on concept and FEED deliverables in the design and development of projects.
• Knowledge of PFD, P&ID preparations, process flow calculations, datasheet preparation, etc.
• Provide technical advice to operations on all relevant process engineering aspects. Review/evaluate dynamic simulation results and advise on appropriate solutions.
• Experience in preparing Process Design Basis and conducting HAZID and HAZOP studies.
• Provide process input into process controls, commissioning, and start-up. Review all equipment design and process equipment datasheets and ensure safe, economic, and technically sound decisions in all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PM & other project team members to execute detailed engineering and FEED jobs in a project.
• Support the department to establish and update procedures and standards.
• Perform simulation studies and develop heat and mass balance sheets.
• Perform flare, blowdown & depressurization calculations.
• Sizing of equipment, instruments, and lines.
• Perform hydraulic calculations of network lines.
• Estimate power load.
• Prepare engineering documents, reports & operating manuals.
• Prepare PFD, P&ID.
• Prepare SAFE charts, cause & effect diagrams.
• Prepare datasheets for rotating, static and instrument equipment.
• Guide project management team in an emergency.
• Forecast deliverables affecting the schedule.
