Job summary

Varroc in Pune is seeking a seasoned Production Planning professional to manage material planning, scheduling, and inventory control to ensure on-time delivery and optimal stock levels.

You will coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production and Logistics, oversee MRP and BOM updates, track plan adherence, and drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes cost optimization, capacity planning, and close collaboration with stakeholders to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics with MBA/PG in Operations preferred.
• Role focuses on production planning, material planning, inventory control and schedule adherence to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer schedules.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability.
• Manage MRP, BOM updates, routing changes, and ECN implementation.
• Monitor production plan adherence, dispatch schedules, and inventory levels (FG, SFG, RM).
• Analyze production variances, line losses, and inventory gaps; drive corrective actions.
• Lead capacity planning and forecast demand for manpower and machine utilization.
• Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
• Support customer audits, planning reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive cost optimization through effective planning and inventory management.
