Job summary

Mount Talent Consulting seeks an experienced PMO Lead to drive governance, planning, monitoring, and delivery across IT development initiatives. The role requires extensive PMO experience and hands-on exposure to software/IT development projects.

The ideal candidate will lead PMO activities, establish reporting frameworks, and coordinate with technology, engineering, product, and senior management teams to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or full-time PG in CS/IT.
  • Extensive PMO experience in PMO functions.
  • Experience with IT/software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, project governance, and delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in project management and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO activities across multiple IT development projects.
  • Establish governance, processes, standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
  • Monitor scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery status.
  • Prepare and present project dashboards, MIS, status reports, and management updates.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and ensure timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Coordinate with technology, engineering, product, business, and senior management teams.
  • Ensure adherence to PM methodologies, quality standards, and organizational processes.
  • Facilitate project reviews, steering committee meetings, and governance forums.
  • Track deliverables and close action items on time.
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced PMO Lead to drive project governance, planning, monitoring, and delivery across IT development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive PMO experience, strong project management capabilities, and hands‑on exposure to software/IT development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage PMO activities across multiple IT development projects.
  • Establish and maintain project governance, processes, standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
  • Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery status.
  • Prepare and present project dashboards, MIS, status reports, and management updates.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and ensure timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Coordinate effectively with technology, engineering, product, business, and senior management teams.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, quality standards, and organizational processes.
  • Facilitate project reviews, steering committee meetings, and governance forums.
  • Track key deliverables and ensure timely closure of action items.
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and project teams where required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or full-time Postgraduate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
  • Extensive experience in Project Management Office (PMO) functions.
  • Proven experience working on IT/software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, project governance, and delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects/programs in a complex IT environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of project metrics, KPIs, risk management, and financial tracking.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or similar certification would be an advantage.
Experience

Extensive PMO experience with significant involvement in IT development projects.
