Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in IT project management, with at least 2-3 years managing a PMO or leading software delivery programs.
  • Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master (CSM), or PMO-CP preferred.
  • Deep familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Proficiency in PPM and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Smartsheet).
  • Strong financial acumen for IT budgeting and vendor cost tracking.
  • Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and executive-level communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce IT project management methodologies, standardizing how engineering and delivery teams initiate, plan, and execute projects.
  • Portfolio & Resource Management: Oversee the IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives and managing cross-project resource allocation to prevent team burnout.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project health, budgets, and timelines using dashboards and KPIs (e.g., Earned Value, velocity metrics) via tools like Jira or Planview.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Maintain portfolio-level RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and facilitate rapid escalation paths.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide transparent progress reports and executive summaries to department heads and clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-project retrospectives and maintain a centralized knowledge base for best practices.
