Job summary

Birla Opus is seeking a senior planning professional to lead end-to-end logistics optimization, SAP IBP deployment, and digital transformation across plants, OPC, RDC and depots. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure service levels and inventory efficiency.

The role focuses on improving deployment, reducing excess STOs, and driving governance with IT, sales and logistics partners, delivering dashboards and insights for performance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop lane-level network plans and maintain lane definitions.
• FTL/LTL/Courier mappings, planning parameters and transportation rules.
• Drive SAP IBP deployment process.
• Optimize inventory allocation between Plants, OPC, RDC & Depot.
• Reduce excess STOs and improve deployment efficiency.
• Monitor priority SKU servicing.
• Review stock cover and identify shortages.
• Govern priority compliance and drive corrective action.
• Improve Volume Service Level (VSL) and Range Service Level (RSL).
• Fill rate and inventory productivity through proactive planning.
• Drive vehicle utilization improvement and FTL conversion.
• Top-up planning and transportation efficiency.
• Lead planning enhancement initiatives.
• Automation projects, UAT activities.
• Business requirement gathering and digital roadmap execution.
• Conduct planning reviews with plants, logistics, sales, IT and consulting partners.
• Drive action closure and decision governance.
• Publish dashboards, performance reports and analytical insights covering STO ageing, service levels, inventory and dispatch compliance.
