Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to design and manage hybrid load balancing architectures across on-premises, private cloud, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will configure F5 BIG-IP, Avi, and cloud-native load balancers, and implement IaC with Terraform, Ansible, or Python/Bash to automate provisioning and policy updates.

The role requires 8–12 years in network engineering with at least 5 years in F5 engineering, plus experience with Kubernetes ingress

Qualifications

• 8-12 years total experience in network engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of F5 engineering experience.
• Expertise in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, DNS, VE).
• HAProxy design and tuning is desirable.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes ingress controllers.
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud-native load balancers.
• Proficiency in automation using Ansible, Python, or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end hybrid load balancing architectures across on-prem, private cloud, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Configure and manage load balancing platforms (F5 BIG-IP, Avi, cloud native load balancers).
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or Python/Bash to automate provisioning and certificate rotation.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, WAF integration, DDoS mitigation, and secure traffic policies.
• Perform L3/L4 root-cause analyses to maintain platform reliability.
