Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Lead/Senior Security System Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure network segmentation across regional and Global networks. You will work with Check Point and Palo Alto gateways, Zscaler for identity-aware access, and Cloudflare for DDoS protection and WAF, delivering policy-driven connectivity under regulatory requirements.

You will lead L3/L4 incidents, drive RCAs, and push automation via Terraform/Ansible, with CI/CD integration and strong emphasis on logging,

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of IT experience with strong network security background.
• Experience with Check Point Gateways and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access.
• Knowledge of Cloudflare Magic Transit/WAN and WAF.
• Automation and policy-as-code using Terraform/Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Define trust zones, routing boundaries, and inter-zone controls.
• Design and operate dual-vendor firewall perimeters with HA/cluster design.
• Engineer ZIA/ZPA for zero-trust access with inline CASB/DLP.
• Implement Site-to-Site VPN, Cloud Interconnect, and BGP routing.
• Lead L3/L4 incident response and RCAs with corrective actions.
• Automate firewall, Zscaler, and Cloudflare policy via APIs and CI/CD.
