EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to standardize, optimize, and manage enterprise load-balancing platforms across physical, virtual, cloud, and container environments.

Responsibilities include designing hybrid load balancing architectures, configuring advanced algorithms, and administering F5 BIG-IP, Avi, and cloud balancers. Strong IaC and automation skills with Terraform/Ansible/Python are required.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of total experience in network engineering, including a minimum of 5 years of F5 engineering experience.
• Expertise in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, DNS, VE).
• Skills in HAProxy design and tuning.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes ingress controllers.
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud-native load balancers.
• Proficiency in automation using Ansible, Python, or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end hybrid load balancing architectures across on-prem, private clouds, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Configure and manage advanced load balancing algorithms (Round Robin, Least Connections, IP Hash, Geo-proximity/Latency-based routing).
• Administer enterprise ADC and load balancers (F5 BIG-IP, VMware Avi, native cloud balancers).
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or Python/Bash for provisioning, certificate rotation, and policy updates.
• Ensure SSL/TLS lifecycle management, WAF integration, DDoS mitigation, and secure traffic policies across hybrid perimeters.
• Perform L3/L4 root-cause analyses to maintain platform reliability and troubleshoot complex network issues.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end hybrid load balancing architectures to securely distribute client requests across on-premises servers, private clouds, and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Configure and manage advanced load balancing algorithms such as Round Robin, Least Connections, IP Hash, and Geo-proximity/Latency-based routing
• Administer enterprise ADC and load balancing platforms, including F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM), VMware Avi Load Balancer (NSX Advanced LB), and native cloud balancers (AWS ALB/NLB, Azure Front Door/Load Balancer)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Python/Bash scripts to automate load balancer provisioning, certificate rotation, and policy updates
• Ensure SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management, web application firewall (WAF) integration, DDoS mitigation, and secure traffic policies across hybrid perimeters
• Perform L3/L4 root-cause analyses to maintain platform reliability and troubleshoot complex network issues
