Job summary

Genpact Ltd. is seeking a Lead Network Administrator in Hyderabad, India to design, implement, and troubleshoot large enterprise networks. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, security, automation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with PMs and vendors, managing incidents/changes, and leading network design sessions while applying Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 expertise. Hybrid work in India is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large and complex integration projects.
• Experience in large network environments and Cisco networking technologies in LAN/WAN.
• Strong knowledge of routing with BGP and EIGRP; experience with firewalls and ITIL/Agile processes.
• Experience with automation techniques and scripting (Python/Ansible) preferred.
• CCNP/CCNA Cisco Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with PMs and engineers for multi-discipline projects and cross-functional endeavors.
• Act as single point of contact for assigned projects; participate in design sessions.
• Coordinate site turn-ups with IS and Telco vendors; handle incidents and changes; support problem management.
• Work on Automation – Python and Ansible.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of F5 LTM/GTM, Cisco devices, Palo Alto firewalls.
• Perform IOS review, configurations, and upgrades; manage routing and switching issues.

Job Description

Network Ideal candidate will have proven track-record working as a Network Engineer in an enterprise level Cisco environment. The role requires a strong, ethical, passionate and dedicated engineer who will demonstrate a high level of technical competency, commitment to deliver business critical projects in a dynamic and often hectic environment. This is a hands-on position. The role requires someone who is highly technical, systematic, organized and results oriented. Someone who can design, configuring, implementing, testing and troubleshooting the solution. Someone who can take ownership of the project from end to ends with a high sense of urgency. The role requires engineer with strong background and experience in R&S and network Security (BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, Palo Alto ,…), optimization and firewalls and Automation. Preference will be given to candidate with experience in integrations with proven background driving complex projects from initiations to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with PMs and technical engineers from other technology groups or internal/external customers for multi-discipline projects and cross-functional endeavors.
• Single point of contact for assigned projects Participate/lead in design sessions and collaborate with other technical teams
• As implementation engineer, coordinate with sites local IS and Telco vendors for sites turn up Work in Incident/Change/ Service Request. Work on Problem Management.
• Working knowledge in Automation – Python and Ansible.
• Strong Knowledge in F5 LTM, GTM.
• Strong Knowledge is Cisco Devices.
• Strong Knowledge in Palo Alto Firewalls.
• IOS review and up-gradation / Implementation.
• Configure and Troubleshoot Routing and Switching Related issue.
• Configure and Troubleshoot Wireless Related issue Execute the Firewall request and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Experience in Delivering large and complex integration projects
• Experience in large network environments
• Experience with Cisco networking technologies in both LAN and WAN environments
• Experience with complex routing environments using BGP and EIGRP.
• Experience in implementing support processes including documenting and enforcing these processes.
• Experience with security technologies - firewalls
• Experience with troubleshooting issues from beginning to end in complex environments.
• Experience working within ITIL processes governing change and configuration management.
• Knowledge of other technologies such as servers and virtual environments.
• Knowledge of automation techniques and scripting
• Cisco certification in at least one technology
• At least good years of experience supporting Cisco networks
• At least good years of experience working in ITIL Framework and Agile methodology
• Minimum of CCNP/CCNA Cisco Certification
