Job summary

Genpact seeks an Architect - Cloud Technologies to lead cloud engineering, automation, and platform initiatives. You’ll drive Terraform-based IaC, Python/PowerShell scripting, and platform engineering approaches to scale cloud solutions.

The role centers on Azure as the primary cloud, with multi‑cloud exposure (AWS/GCP), CI/CD practices, and a delivery‑oriented mindset within Genpact’s AI Gigafactory. Collaborate across teams and push innovative cloud transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
• Good years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or automation roles
• Strong hands‑on experience with: Terraform (primary IaC tool)
• Python and/or PowerShell scripting
• Experience building and managing self‑service platforms (Backstage or similar)
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components: Compute, storage, networking, OS, databases
• Proven experience working with Azure (primary cloud platform)
• Hands‑on experience with multi‑cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong focus on automation, coding, and infrastructure standardization
• Ability to work in a delivery‑focused, execution‑oriented environment

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Experience with ARM/Bicep and Ansible (or Puppet legacy exposure)
• Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and internal developer platforms (IDP)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with GitOps practices
• Exposure to security and compliance automation
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
• Certifications such as: Azure (AZ‑104, AZ‑305) AWS/GCP cloud certifications Terraform certifications
• Experience in large enterprise cloud transformation programs
