Job summary

Swan Corp, located in Mumbai, is seeking a seasoned MDM Leader to establish and drive the Material Master Data Management function across SAP systems. In this role, you'll lead end-to-end material master governance, data standardization, cleansing, and compliance across various project materials.

The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in Material Master Data Management with strong SAP MM expertise, along with the ability to manage a high-performing team. A B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Material Master Data Management.
• 6+ years leading MDM teams with SAP MM expertise.
• Strong knowledge of piping, equipment, electrical & engineering materials.

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned MDM Leader to establish and drive the Material Master Data Management function across SAP systems. The role involves leading end-to-end material master governance, data standardization, cleansing, and compliance across project materials, MRO spares, and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP MM Material Master creation, validation, classification & governance (ECC / S4 HANA).
• Define and implement MDM strategy, standards, and governance framework.
• Build and manage a high-performing MDM team (25 members).
• Drive data cleansing, migration, mass updates, and duplication control.
• Manage Master Equipment List (MEL), asset register, functional locations & BOMs.
• Identify & code MRO spares, perform criticality analysis & optimization.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards (ASTM, BS, IS, DIN, JIS, etc.).
• Monitor data quality KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with SCM, Engineering, Quality & Production teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in Material Master Data Management.
• 6+ years leading MDM teams with SAP MM expertise (MM01/MM02, classification).
• Strong knowledge of piping, equipment, electrical & engineering materials.
• Expertise in Excel/CSV data handling & SAP mass processing tools.
• Proven experience in building MDM functions.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Chemical preferred)
• SAP MM Certification is an advantage.
