Rcpc in Chennai district is seeking a Lead/Manager Electrical Design for Industrial Projects. The role requires overseeing electrical design work, coordinating with MEP disciplines, and guiding a team to ensure timely, within-budget delivery of high-end industrial projects.

The candidate should have a strong background in electrical load calculations, SLDs, and systems integration, with 12+ years of experience and at least 4 years in a managerial role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a master's is preferred.
• 12+ years in electrical design for large-scale industrial projects.
• At least 4 years in a managerial/leadership role with delivered projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve electrical load calculations, SLDs, lighting layouts, and power distribution.
• Guide equipment selection, systems integration, and design optimization.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and timelines to meet project deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams.
• Address client/consultant/contractor queries during design and construction.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve electrical load calculations, SLDs (single line diagrams), lighting layouts, power distribution, earthing, ELV systems, and specifications.
• Guide the team on selection of electrical equipment, systems integration, and design optimization.
• Monitor design progress, budgets, and timelines to meet project deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP disciplines, and contractors.
• Address technical queries from clients, consultants, and contractors during design and construction stages.
• Foster a collaborative work environment to ensure knowledge sharing and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in electrical design engineering for large-scale industrial projects, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in delivering high-end industrial, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
