Job summary

SITA in Delhi, India seeks an experienced Senior Network Security/SD-WAN Engineer to own lifecycle management of network services across airport gateways. You will design, deploy, monitor, and optimize SD-WAN and security infrastructure, collaborating with global GEO teams and stakeholders to ensure quality and minimal disruption.

The role requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, strong routing/security skills, and certifications like CCNP/Network+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CCNP, CompTIA Network+) desirable; Security Associate level mandatory; SDWAN Certification (Professional) required.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage lifecycle of network, SDWAN and security services across airports/gateways.
• Provide expert support on incidents for airport network & security infra including LAN/WAN, firewall, Versa SDWAN.
• Lead provisioning, deployment, and documentation to ensure timely, compliant service delivery.
• Collaborate with GEOs and cross-functional teams to design and optimize network services.
• Mentor teams, lead POC documentation for new customers, and drive adoption of new technologies.

Purpose

Responsible for service provisioning and the end-to-end lifecycle of a network security shared infrastructure SDWAN and other cloud security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage the complete lifecycle of network (LAN-wired/wireless &WAN) _SDWAN & Network security services shared infrastructure at airports/gateways from initial provisioning through to decommissioning ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency. Responsible for Implementation Deployment & when needed or requested providing Expert support on incidents for Airport network & security Infra including LAN WAN firewall Versa SDWAN solution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including GEOs to design implement and optimize network services that meet organizational and customer requirements. Oversee the provisioning process for network & network security services ensuring timely and accurate deployment of services. Conduct regular performance monitoring and analysis to identify areas for improvement and ensure network services meet operational benchmarks. Implement changes and enhancements to network & network security services managing associated risks and ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Develop and maintain documentation for customer network Airport network security & shared infrastructure service configurations processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Responsible to lead new customer POC documentation and create template for senior lifecycle or lifecycle engineers to manage during BAU. Support incident and problem management processes contributing to the resolution of issues affecting network services and facilitating root cause analysis. Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance service provisioning and lifecycle management.

Provide training and support to operational teams on network services and lifecycle management best practices. Available for on call support to service operations teams when needed for complex incident support Required to work in 24*7 environment based on change or deployment calendar. Problem manager for migration improvements.

Experience

Proven 8 to 10 years of experience in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of network services including provisioning performance monitoring and decommissioning. Hands-on experience in network service design implementation and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with teams including technical operational and customer-facing teams. Experience in implementing changes and enhancements to network services with a focus on minimizing operational disruption. Prior involvement in training and supporting operational teams on network service management best practices. Experience in evaluating and adopting new technologies and methodologies to improve service provisioning and management processes.

Strong working knowledge of the following routing protocols: BGP OSPF; and optional for EIGRP RIP. Strong working knowledge of the following Security protocols: VTP STP RSTP PVST HSRP. Experience in implementing and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers switches and firewalls (CISCO ASA and PALO ALTO). Working knowledge of Datacentre switching e.g. Cisco Nexus ACI. VERSA SDWAN will be added advantage

Education & Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science information technology network engineering or a related field. Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) CompTIA Network+ or equivalent) are desirable. Security Associate level certification is mandatory. SDWAN Certification (Professional level) is must Qualifications. Strong knowledge of network services lifecycle management including provisioning monitoring and decommissioning. Understanding of network protocols service models and service-level agreements (SLAs). Familiarity with network management tools and technologies. Ability to design and implement network services to meet both organizational and customer needs. Knowledge of incident problem and change management processes in a network operations context.
