Job summary

UST is looking for Front End Lead Engineer to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of modern web applications. The role leads the development of scalable, reusable UI capabilities, dashboards, visualization components, and contributor-plugin integrations while mentoring teams and establishing frontend best practices.

You will lead Angular and TypeScript initiatives, define reusable UI components, manage state, and optimize REST API integrations, testing frameworks, and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years frontend engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience building reusable components, shared libraries, and modular UI architectures.
• Expertise in REST API integration and data-driven applications.
• Hands-on experience with complex state management and asynchronous workflows.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing, browser diagnostics, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, technical documentation, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Drive evolution of platform modules including Process Explorer, Tool Overview Dashboard, File & Recipe, Report Builder, Inventory, and Settings.
• Define and implement reusable UI components, shared libraries, and modular frontend architecture.
• Develop and optimize REST API integrations, state management, validation, error handling, and performance.
• Support advanced visualization capabilities, including 2D/3D rendering and contributor plugin integration.
• Establish and maintain unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Implement frontend security, monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry, and performance optimization practices.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor team members.

Summary

• Drive the evolution of key platform modules including Process Explorer, Tool Overview Dashboard, File & Recipe, Report Builder, Inventory, and Settings.
• Define and implement reusable UI components, shared libraries, and modular frontend architecture.
• Develop and optimize REST API integrations, state management, validation, error handling, and application performance.
• Support advanced visualization capabilities, including 2D/3D rendering and contributor plugin integration.
• Establish and maintain unit, component, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Implement frontend security, monitoring, diagnostics, telemetry, and performance optimization practices.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and mentor team members through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience building reusable components, shared libraries, and modular UI architectures.
• Expertise in REST API integration and data-driven applications.
• Hands-on experience with complex state management and asynchronous workflows.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing, browser diagnostics, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, technical documentation, and mentoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Blazor, micro-frontends, or plugin-based architectures.
• Exposure to Athena SDK.
• Experience with 2D/3D visualization, scientific imaging, or data visualization platforms.
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, accessibility standards, and enterprise design systems.
• Understanding of npm package security, SAST, SCA, and SBOM practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and SAFe Agile methodologies.

Additional Information

• Work model: Hyderabad office with 4 days/week onsite presence.
• Travel may be required for onboarding, PI Planning, workshops, and key project milestones.
