Job summary

UST is seeking an Angular – Front End Developer based in Chennai with 5+ years of experience. You will design and implement responsive UI with Angular and TypeScript, while building backend services in Python and containerizing apps with Docker.

Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps to deliver high-quality features, ensure web security and cross-browser compatibility, and apply Generative AI APIs where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience building backend services using Python.
• Hands-on Docker experience, including writing Dockerfiles and running containers.
• Familiarity with Generative AI APIs/frameworks (OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face).
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, web security, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using Git.

Responsibilities

Summary

UST is looking for an Angular – Front End Developer with strong experience in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, and Docker. The role involves designing and developing responsive user interfaces, building backend services, containerizing applications, and collaborating with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The candidate should also have exposure to Generative AI frameworks/APIs and modern cloud-native technologies.

The Opportunity

• Design and implement responsive user interfaces using Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs using Python with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Containerize applications and services using Docker.

What You Need

• 5+ years of professional experience with Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience building backend services using Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, including writing Dockerfiles and running containers in development/CI workflows.
• Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks or APIs, such as OpenAI GPT and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, web security, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good experience with Git version control.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
