Job summary

Experience in Generative AI frameworks/APIs and cloud-native tech is a plus; you’ll operate in an Agile environment and contribute to code quality and performance improvements.

Summary

UST is looking for an Angular – Front End Developer with strong experience in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, REST/GraphQL APIs, and Docker. The role involves designing and developing responsive user interfaces, building backend services, containerizing applications, and collaborating with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The candidate should also have exposure to Generative AI frameworks/APIs and modern cloud-native technologies.

The Opportunity

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement responsive user interfaces using Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs using Python with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Containerize applications and services using Docker.
• Write and maintain Dockerfiles and manage container images.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues in production systems.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments and follow best development practices.
• Use Git for source code management and collaborative development.
• Ensure applications meet requirements for HTTP, web security, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Work with Generative AI frameworks and APIs where applicable.

What You Need

• 5+ years of professional experience with Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 5+ years of experience building backend services using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, including writing Dockerfiles and running containers in development/CI workflows.
• Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks or APIs, such as OpenAI GPT and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, web security, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good experience with Git version control.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
