Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-Time Delivery Rate
Measurement: Project log comparing the agreed delivery date with the actual SAT date.
Red Flag: Below 75% in any month. Joint review with the Engineering Lead and Project Coordinator within 48 hours.
2) FAT First-Pass Success Rate
Measurement: Engineering Lead FAT log comparing the first FAT date with successful FAT completion.
Red Flag: Below 65%.Engineering Lead to review all failures for root cause and ensure the Pre-FAT protocol is reviewed.
3)Design Rework Hours
Measurement: Rework hours logged separately by engineers in the time-tracking system and reviewed weekly by the Engineering Lead.
Red Flag: Above 15% of total engineering hours in any month. Immediate root-cause investigation required.
4)Project Cost Overrun Rate
Measurement: Percentage of projects where the final project cost exceeds the approved budget by more than 5%, based on financial closure notes and the original BOQ.
Red Flag: Above 12%. Engineering Lead to review all cost overruns and identify recurring patterns.
5)Change Request Frequency
Measurement: Number of approved change requests per project based on the Change Request Register.
Red Flag: More than 3 change requests on any single project. SRS and requirement-definition quality to be reviewed.
7)Design Module Library
Measurement: Number of validated modules documented and available in the Engineering Module Library.
Target:Minimum 20 validated modules by Q2.
Action: Engineering Lead to accelerate module standardisation and library development if the target is not achieved
8)BOQ Accuracy
Measurement:Percentage of BOQs where the final project cost is within 10% of the original BOQ.
Target: Minimum 70% accuracy.
Action: If accuracy falls below 70%, BOQ methodology to be reviewed with all Senior Engineers.
9)Engineer Utilisation Rate
Measurement: Productive project hours divided by total available working hours, based on the time-tracking system.
