Job summary

Signify seeks an experienced electronics PCB design engineer to lead high-speed multilayer layout projects from concept to production. You will design and review RF-enabled PCBs, define stack-ups, and ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance across complex devices.

The role requires 10–15 years of relevant experience in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication, with strong proficiency in Mentor DX, Altium, PADS, and Allegro tools, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• BE in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with 10+ years preferred.
• Experience with high-speed PCBs and multilayer stack-ups.
• Knowledge of RF subsystems and antennas is required.
• Familiarity with IPC/RoHS/REACH standards and DFM reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB design activities for complex multilayer products from architecture through production release.
• Review electronics project concepts including equipment specifications and design.
• Develop high-speed PCB layouts with impedance-controlled traces and memory interfaces.
• Define stack-up, impedance, routing constraints, and material selection.
• Collaborate with EMS partners and PCB fabricators on manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

• Work independently on medium to large projects
• Solve medium- complex problems using skills and network.
• Obtain and share knowledge with colleagues and relevant stakeholders to support problem solving
• Review technical concepts of all electronics projects including equipment specification and design.

What you’ll need

• Total relevant work experience: 10 - 15 years (BE in Electronics/Instrumentation/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) or similar with minimum 5 years working on:
• High-speed processor-based designs
• Impedance-controlled multilayer boards
• DDR/LPDDR memory layouts
• RF radio enabled products
• Knowledge on PCB design e-CAD tools (Mentor Graphics DX Designer with Team Centre, Altium, PADS Layout, Allegro etc.)
• Lead PCB design activities for complex multilayer products from architecture through production release
• Design and develop high-speed, impedance-controlled multilayer PCBs incorporating multicore high speed processors, LPDDR4 /5 memory interfaces, High-speed digital buses and other high-speed interfaces
• Develop PCB layouts meeting stringent signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and reliability requirements
• Knowledge of designing PCBs with RF subsystems sch as Wi-Fi/Zigbee/Bluetooth radios with onboard antenna and external antenna
• Perform stack-up definition, controlled impedance calculations, routing constraints, and PCB material selection
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with company design standards and industry best practices
• Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews with PCB fabricators and EMS partners, define PCB panelization strategy
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards, fabrication capabilities, and manufacturing guidelines
• Should have knowledge on UL/IEC/ RoHS/REACH etc.
