Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Engineer – Dry Utility (Infrastructure) to join our Energy team in India. This role offers an exciting opportunity for engineers to contribute to impactful Energy projects globally and continue developing technical expertise within a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have a B. Tech, M. Eng. degree, 5-10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in design calculations and engineering software. The position supports a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days in the office.

Qualifications

• B. Tech, M. Eng. degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience, including exposure to projects in Middle East, UK, USA, Canada & ANZ.
• Experience in preparation, review and production related to various electrical systems.

• Gather and correlate basic engineering data.
• Independently perform tasks to complete primary design elements.

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes an approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry‑level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed‑upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Qualifications

• B. Tech, M. Eng. degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 5–10 years of experience, including exposure to outside India projects preferably in Middle East, UK, USA, Canada & ANZ region.
• Experience in preparation, review and production of Electrical (EHV, HV, MV, LV), Street Lighting, Telecom, ELV, ICT Network, Pump station, Water Treatment Plant, EV charging Station, Substation, Power Transmission & Distribution network.
• Design calculation experience: Street lighting, High Mast Area Lighting, Cable sizing & voltage drop, Earthing, Fault level, Corridor sizing.
• Proficiency in software: Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, ETAP.
