Job summary

AECOM in Mumbai is looking for a Lead Engineer-Dry Utility to join its Energy team. This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to global energy projects while honing technical skills in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a B. Tech/Master's degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience, especially in electrical design and project management. The role demands expertise in software tools like Dialux and AGI, ensuring high-quality deliverables on engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience, preferably with projects in the Middle East, UK, USA, or Canada.
• Experience in preparation, review, and production of electrical designs including street lighting and power distribution.
• Proficiency in software tools related to electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering assignments with moderate supervision.
• Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Independently complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Engineer-Dry Utility (Infrastructure) to join our Energy team in India. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful Energy projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

• B. Tech/ Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 5-10 Years (Exposure to outside India projects preferablyMiddle East, UK, USA, Canada ANZ region)
• Preparation, Review and production of Electrical (EHV, HV, MV, LV), Street Lighting, Telecom, ELV, ICT Network, Pump station, Water Treatment Plant, EV charging Station, Substation, Power Transmission Distribution network
• Design Calculation: Street lighting, High Mast Area Lighting, Cable sizing Voltage drop, Earthing, Fault level, Corridor sizing
• Software: Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, ETAP
