Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a seasoned software engineer to participate in requirement analysis, design, coding and testing for medical devices software. You will understand architectures built in Core Java and Swing and take ownership of features, bugs, and enhancements while coordinating with global teams.

The role requires 6–9 years of experience in software development, strong OO design skills, and familiarity with Agile processes.

Job Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in requirement analysis, design, coding and testing (manual as well as automation)

Required Skills (Technical Competency)

• Strong programming skills in Core Java and design patterns
• Develop applications using Core Java/Swing for Medical Devices domain
• Deep knowledge in Object-Oriented concepts and experience in implementing the same using Java
• 6-9 years of experience in design and development of software applications and frameworks
• Basic understanding skills in Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 and web stack
• Experience in working with Agile methodology of project execution
• Having experience in components developed in C++, Perl, and Python etc. is an added advantage
• Experience in developing software applications for Medical Devices domain CT, XR, MR, Common Platform, DICOM standard

Desired Skills

• Ability to explore large code base and understand architecture and design
• Ability to deliver without much supervision from lead/managers
• Good working knowledge in Core Java enterprise / engineering applications
• Familiar with tools like WinScp, Putty, Rally, Clearcase, Collaborator, SVN
• Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
