Job summary

Dynoconv Engineering in Chennai, India, seeks an experienced Lead Controls Engineer to design and implement automation systems across industrial projects. You will develop PLC programs, build HMI/SCADA interfaces, and ensure safe, reliable control panel designs.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming using structured text and ladder logic.

• Ability to coordinate across Electrical/Mechanical/Software teams.

• Lead or senior-level experience in controls engineering is preferred.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs using Structured Text and Ladder Logic.
• Develop and integrate HMI/SCADA applications for automation systems.
• Design control system architecture, I/O configuration, PLC hardware, and industrial networks.
• Design electrical control panels with component selection and wiring.
• Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN.
• Integrate PLCs with VFDs, motion systems, sensors, safety systems, field devices.
• Perform simulation, debugging, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Participate in design reviews, FMEA, risk assessments, and problem-solving.
• Ensure designs meet safety standards and customer requirements.

• Design control system architecture, I/O configuration, PLC hardware, and industrial communication networks.
• Design electrical control panels, including component selection, power/control circuits, wiring, and panel interfaces.
• Prepare and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and control documentation using AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN.
• Integrate PLCs with VFDs, motion systems, sensors, safety systems, and field devices.
• Perform simulation, debugging, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality teams for system integration.
• Participate in design reviews, FMEA, risk assessments, and technical problem-solving.
• Ensure automation and control panel designs meet safety standards, customer requirements, and engineering best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• With Valid B1/B2 visa
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a Lead or Senior Controls Engineering role.
