You will integrate seat models with BIW data and test fixtures, perform crash and NVH analyses, and ensure simulations are ready for downstream engineering processes.

Responsibilities include setting up explicit/implicit simulations in LS-DYNA, exploring non-linear sled tests, occupant injury criteria, and ergonomics predictions.

Qualifications

  • Develop and prepare high-quality FE models of automotive seating systems.
  • Integrate seat models with BIW and test fixture datasets.
  • Perform NVH analyses using LS-DYNA and OptiStruct.

Responsibilities

  • CAE Model Development
  • Develop and prepare high-quality Finite Element (FE) models of automotive seating systems.
  • Integrate seat models with BIW and test fixture datasets.
  • Utilize pre-processing tools such as Hypermesh (must), PRIMER (desired), ANSA (Optional).
  • Ensure model quality, mesh integrity, and simulation readiness.
  • Crash Simulation & Analysis
  • Set up, execute, and validate explicit/ implicit static & crash safety simulations using LS-DYNA.
  • Evaluate non-linear explicit simulations for dynamic sled tests, whiplash assessment, and rear-impact requirements.
  • Occupant Injury Criteria: Managing predictions for thoracic trauma, femur loads, and neck injury parameters using advanced dummy models (e.g., THOR, WorldSID, BIORID II).
  • Seat Comfort & Ergonomics: Evaluating H-point prediction, Backset (HRMD), pressure distribution, and whiplash assessments for optimal seating comfort.
  • Investigate load paths, energy absorption mechanisms, and structural failure modes.
  • NVH Simulation & Analysis
