The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements in North America and Europe. They will be responsible for comprehensive project tasks including DFMEA maintenance, DVP preparation, and the coordination of product feasibility studies. Qualifications

• Experience between 8-12 years in mechanical or automobile design.
• Proficient in design of complete seating systems for vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain DFMEA and engineering open issues.
• Prepare DVP according to OEM requirements.
• Conduct product feasibility studies with plant teams.
• Knowledge of seat comfort, craftsmanship requirements and seat trim design.
• Prepare DVP and OEM-specific requirements.
• Design sheet metal components, foam pads, plastics and mechanisms integration.
• Product feasibility study and development of new parts with plant teams and suppliers.
• BOM creation, 2D drawings, manufacturing drawings.
• RFQ and costing of new projects.
• Knowledge of PDM & PLM.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct performance appraisals.

Job Responsibilities

• Proficient in Design & Development of Complete Seating Systems (Seats).
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements of North America (FMVSS), Europe (ECE), and other regions.
• Developing & maintaining of DFMEA, Engineering open issues list.
• Good knowledge of seat comfort / craftsmanship requirements and
• Good knowledge of seat trim cover design and development.
• Preparing DVP and understanding of various OEM specific requirements.
• Proficiency in the design of Sheet metal Components, foam pads, plastics and mechanisms integration.
• Product feasibility study & development of new parts in co-ordination with plant team & Supplier
• BOM creation, 2d drawings, manufacturing drawings
• RFQ and costing of new projects.
• Knowledge of PDM & PLM
• Mentoring of the junior engineers in the team and conducting performance appraisals.
